Local Rapper Diffuses a Bomb?

I'm sure you've all seen the movie The Hurt Locker. If not, what you're about to see may not make much sense. I'm also sure most of you have seen the promo videos I've put together for Ripynt over the last six months promoting his two Ep's "On Second Thought" Vol 1 and 2. If not, you can watch them here and here. This is Ripynt's third EP release which raps wraps up his 3 EP plan for 2011. All really solid projects and all FREE! You can download them here. It's always a pleasure working with this dude because he's super open to my creative direction. He juiced up the dialogue while I focused on making this as Hollywood as possible and I think this is my favorite of the three.

Think we missed anything? Do you love it? Let us know in the comment box below!

Oh and if you can name the two people who are on the radios in the beginning, I'll hook you up with a framed surprise photo and a disposable camera! Go! I'll give you a hint, they both rap.

It really re-connected me with their music. Since then, I've been anxiously waiting for the day their new album dropped. That day happened last week and I couldn't be happier.

I’m so blown away more people aren’t doing this. Granted I have seen a few but none as clever as this. It’s a strong call to action. It’s funny and it appeals to a mass audience. It takes such a short time to shoot a little video to promote something. You can shoot it on your phone, use a Flip or even an SLR. Whatever the tool, my dude Bob Reed aka Dyslexic really made my morning by putting this out. I’m pretty sure I have a wedding to go to that night but if you aren’t plagued by the August Wedding Trend, you should definitely shake your booty to the live sounds of Dyslexic.

How I Made This Music Video
