I recently had the pleasure of shooting a look book for my good friend/owner of Paul Marie Clothing, Mike Hedgecock. I have been itching to shoot some fashion lately and really had a great time working with these guys. With inspiration from Nick Onken, we hit the streets of Greenlake and got to work. With the exception of a few shots, I primarily used my Canon 50mm 1.4 which is my new favorite lens for shooting photos. Every shot was tack sharp and the depth of field is amazing at wide apertures. I really feel like I'm getting back to my roots with photography. It was so inspiring to work on the fly and just create. I really had the opportunity to be creative and take chances, break rules and make mistakes while creating images I really liked.Read More
Back in the Fall I received an email from Rock Paper Sketch "Ambassadors of artful branding, influential marketing and immersive experiences." They had stumbled upon my website and wanted to chat about working together on a few projects. I was very excited about the opportunity after browsing their website so we figured out the details and got work. After our first two jobs working together, they decided it was time to update their photo portfolio as well. So we set up a studio session and got snapping.Read More
Grammer police have no fear, I did mean "Reel" as in my demo reel baby! Last year around this time, I took a swan dive into the video world. It's been a weird yet smooth and super successful transition from stills to motion. You've heard this story before so I'll spare you this time around. At any rate, this last year has been amazing and to finally see the best shots all in one action packed video is so cool for me. I had an absolute blast making this and I couldn't have done it without all of your support. Without stories, I have no work. So I thank all of you for your amazing stories and allowing me to tell them in my own way.Read More
I had the pleasure of working with my friends over at Startup Weekend earlier this year on a new version of Startup Weekend titled "Rise of the Designer". "Startup Weekends are 54 hour events where developers, designers, marketers, product managers and startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams, build products and launch startups." Startup Weekend has always had the business side of things down but has also had a history of lacking in the creative departement. Not only that, they wanted to push creatives to do more than just design.Read More
Last fall, I had the pleasure of shooting a music video with Seattle super group "Th3rdz". These dudes were a blast to work with and truly they are entertainers. I had been seeing a bunch of cool live performance videos like this one of Allen Stone along with this one of CunninLynguists and knew these guys would be the perfect fit for my attempt at this.Read More
I'm sure you've all seen the movie The Hurt Locker. If not, what you're about to see may not make much sense. I'm also sure most of you have seen the promo videos I've put together for Ripynt over the last six months promoting his two Ep's "On Second Thought" Vol 1 and 2. If not, you can watch them here and here. This is Ripynt's third EP release which
raps wraps up his 3 EP plan for 2011. All really solid projects and all FREE! You can download them here.
It's always a pleasure working with this dude because he's super open to my creative direction. He juiced up the dialogue while I focused on making this as Hollywood as possible and I think this is my favorite of the three.
Think we missed anything? Do you love it? Let us know in the comment box below!
Oh and if you can name the two people who are on the radios in the beginning, I'll hook you up with a framed surprise photo and a disposable camera! Go! I'll give you a hint, they both rap.
Official music video for my guy Feezable the Germ. Enjoy the show!Read More
